O Man, Manny!

Today Los Angeles Times reported that famous ex-Red Sox player Manny Ramirez tested positive for Steroids! Since failing the drug test he has been suspended 50 games starting today, Major League Baseball confirmed.
What an idiot, if you ask me! It is bad enough he got traded from the best MLB team (Boston Red Sox!!) but, he sure showed his new team the Dodgers, how dependable he is!
His suspension will cost him $7.7 Million dolloars LA Times reported! That is probably chump change to him, but if you think about it- that is a TON of money! I honestly think professional sports players make too much money, ecspecially with our broken/corrupted economy.

A statement from Ramirez according to the LA Times - "Recently I saw a physician for a personal health issue. He gave me a medication, not a steroid, which he thought was okay to give me. Unfortunately, the medication was banned under our drug policy. Under the policy that mistake is now my responsibility. I have been advised not to say anything more for now. I do want to say one other thing; I've taken and passed about 15 drug tests over the past five seasons".

It looks like Ken Griffey Jr. will be the only clean player left with hall of fame numbers from talent not steroids!!

  1. I know! I wish I had 7.7million...or 7million...or .7million. and Ooo, he passed about 15drug tests over the past 5 seasons. Who cares? He didn't pass that one.

  2. It's amazing how much of a role steroids are playing in professional sports today. We're going to look back on this era as just being a bunch of cheaters, which is kind of sad.

  3. It stinks that many will lose a third of his 25 million dollar contract, but to be perfectly honest. He got what he deserved

  4. Until it's actually proven that he took performance-enhancing drugs, I'm not going to call him a cheater. The drug he took was obviously banned, but if his doctor gave it to him like he said, then the only problem was him not checking with the MLBPA drug testers before he took it. Players get tested multiple times a year, and he's never tested positive for PEDs before. Until there's proof that he has, I can't call him a "cheater".

  5. Manny is a jerk! He finally got what was coming to him! I really feel no remorse for him, despite the fact he plaed for the Sox. He is a selfish player who while skilled is nothing but a pissy spoiled baby. He knew the rules and broke them anyway. He deserves everything that he gets!

  6. Yeah i know if Griffey never got hurt back in the 90's his numbers would even embarrass these cheaters, i just hope that he never took anything at all.
